We bring together participants from all walks of life for meaningful experiences year after year. Our immersive programs provide unique opportunities for personal growth and development but always leave room for plenty of fun.

Meet the Team

Sarah Patterson

RSVP Grant Manager/ Director

Sarah is committed to enhancing the quality of life in Newton and Jasper County. She has lived her entire adult life in Newton and was a teacher at Newton High School for 32 years. Having seen many changes in these 32 years, she is excited to see Newton and Jasper County continue to grow and flourish. She is very passionate about community and thus excited about this role at Jasper County RSVP.

Sarah's impressive career as a high school English teacher and coach of girls' and boys' swimming demonstrates her dedication and commitment to helping others. Her unwavering drive and enthusiasm for excellence make her the best candidate for this role, and she has already made a significant impact.

Sarah studied at Iowa State University and holds a master's degree from Drake University. She is an inspiration to many and serves as a role model for those who aspire to achieve their goals and dreams. Her devotion to her work and community is unmatched, and her colleagues and peers hold her in high regard.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys reading, working out, and spending time with her significant other, Jeff, and their adorable dog, JJ.

Jasmine Bailey

Volunteer Coordinator

Jasmine is driven to make her community flourish and help many generations in the future. As the Volunteer Coordinator, Jasmine enjoys using her creativity and knowledge to serve her community. She lives in Newton and has two dogs, Atlas and Ember, and three cats, Gemma, Luffy, and Zoro. She loves to be out in the community and spend time with family.

Jasmine is a Newton High School graduate and graduated from Iowa State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and health with a concentration in Public Health. As a drug and alcohol prevention specialist before being a volunteer Coordinator, Jasmine brings leadership and organizational skills, problem solving, and excellent communication skills. These skills help Jasmine with her daily activities and tasks.

Jasmine loves all the work that the local volunteers do and loves to brag about the volunteer's hard work to others. Jasmine's #1 goal for the next five years is to add many more volunteers and volunteer opportunities to increase community involvement in Jasper County.

When Jasmine has free time, she likes to read, spend time with her loved ones, and enjoy sightseeing with her Fiance, Ben.
